Tonight, Washington DC sounds like Peshawar. Everyday when I get back home, and I'm late, I don't find many people on the roads after 9:00 pm. Today, the show began right after 9:00 pm. I was standing in the balcony of my apartment, when I saw many people out on the roads and there was smoke in the air, fireworks of course. ;) 4th of July celebrations.
We don't have fireworks in Peshawar every night, but we do have a similar sky at night. I won't tell you why, but if you are from Peshawar, you know why.
It is 12:15 am right now, and I still hear people out on the roads and tonight, it does not sound like a ghost town for the first time. Peshawar never sleeps. Tonight, DC is not sleeping !
