Heavy rain and floods in the province of Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa on the North-West Frontier of Pakistan have killed hundreds of people and displaced many others. I wonder why disaster upon disaster on this land? I am forced to write this, as I feel I should. So here it is... It really is sad indeed to see how homes were destroyed by the floods due to dam spills, and how people were displaced. I want to share something I was just thinking about after the floods hit my village. Yesterday morning I was told that most of the village was evacuated and people were safe. Before the floods, there was a conflict on lands in my village. All the cousins and brothers and relatives had become enemies and pointing not just fingers but also guns at each other for the sake of lands.
